- No hat, no cap, no sunglasses. Glasses only without glare.
- Even light from the front, no shadows on your face or the background.
- Taken far enough back for your shoulders to be in frame.
- The head must measure between 32 and 36mm — the tool handles that.

Common questions
What can I use this photo for?Anything that takes a printed passport photo: applications, staff and club cards, job applications, student cards, registrations. The 35×45mm size with a head height of 32 to 36mm is the one used for passports and driving licences across the UK and the EU.
Is it valid for a passport application?The measurements are right. But be careful: several countries are moving to digital submission, where the photo is sent straight to the authority by an approved photographer or booth. Check with the issuing office first whether a photo you bring yourself is still accepted — this changes by country and by year.
Where do I print the sheet?At any chemist, photo shop or kiosk that prints 10×15. It usually costs well under a pound and gives you 6 photos to cut along the lines. A booth would charge you around £6 to £8 for the same thing.
Why does my head come out that big?Because the standard says so: the head has to measure between 32 and 36mm, with the eyes 25 to 33mm from the bottom. The photo is shrunk and shifted until both are right — which is exactly the part nobody gets right by hand.
Do you keep my photo?No. It is processed on our server, handed back, and deleted the moment you download it. It is never passed to anyone else.
